IDENTIFIED CLIENT SAVINGS FOR OCTOBER AND NOVEMBER NOW EXCEED £795,000
Background
Firstly, I promise you this initiative is not a gimmick!
As a result of carrying out some consultancy work, specifically on Procurement for both Waylands and Peter Vardy Group. I was asked to review a number of big spend supplier contracts that were due for renewal within 12 months to establish whether any better terms could be obtained without any compromise or disruption to service level.
The great news is that having reviewed these contracts I identified combined tangible savings of more than £795,000 over a 3-year period.

My role was to review the contracts purely to identify if there was any opportunity. Once I established there was a clear opportunity for savings to be made on behalf of the client I liaised and negotiated with current and potential suppliers to obtain the best deal / associated savings for the client. I then produced a full pack detailing the opportunity along with the associated savings in order for the client to be able make a fully informed decision. I then, where applicable facilitated a seamless introduction between the client and the supplier in order for them to start the process of securing the savings at the earliest opportunity. In all instances, where new supplier arrangements were required then they were made with well-established suppliers who demonstrated clear competence in being able to deliver the required service level.
I believe that my approach has made, and indeed will continue to make a huge difference to many dealer groups. In particular I believe that offers a significant opportunity to those dealer groups that do not have the benefit of a dedicated Procurement resource.
It is for this reason and to also prove my absolute belief in the programme I have decided to launch the ‘Nothing to Lose' initiative.
Too Good to be true
It may sound it but I can assure you it's true! …. I would give you a working day of mine for free – absolutely no charge whatsoever to allow me to establish just how many savings you can benefit from.
On this day (on site or remote) I would (under NDA) review your top 5 supplier contracts where you have significant spend assuming these contracts in place have less than 12 months to run.
The 5 areas I would typically focus on first for review are:
1. Valeting
2. Printers / Printing / Consumables
3. Oil
4. Marketing inc 3rd portal charges
5. Aftersales specific - Hazardous waste / Waste inceptor / Tyre collection / Scrap metal / Dry waste
It is important to note that there are over 40 other supplier streams that are also available for review should you require. If one of the 5 contracts listed above have more than 12 months to run then these can easily be replaced by an alternative contract area that is due to expire – indeed it may be that you have a number that are going to expire you would prefer to review – the decision really is yours.
Please be aware that all of my work is carried out without any intrusion to your day to day business – it all happens behind the scenes.
My goal is to find you tangible and sensible savings that can be made. Throughout my career I have negotiated and secured a significant number of very competitive deals so I know what great looks like. My simple aim is to identify if you can benefit from securing the great deals that may only be typically available to the big dealer groups because they have the most sites.
The Savings
Once I have established the savings that are available to you then you have 2 options:
1. With your approval I would remotely run any project from cradle to grave dealing with the suppliers on your behalf, obtaining quotations, negotiating tenders whilst liaising with you throughout for your clear direction/approval. At the end of the review I would present my findings allowing you to make that informed decision. Assuming acceptance then I would facilitate seamless introductions to start the process.

2. I would detail the vetted tangible savings available to you (amount of saving that could be made/ recommended supplier) for you to complete the process in order to secure the savings
If there are no savings apparent post the free review, then there is absolutely zero cost to you – that is why I have called the campaign ‘Nothing to Lose’ - because as I see it you haven’t - it can only be win win for you. The only thing you can lose is not doing it.
I do appreciate there are other people doing this in certain areas, but many haven’t got my years of experience. Indeed the companies I have worked with have links to such brokers .. but I still achieved significant savings on areas they did and didn't cover. On that basis I am very confident that I could identify opportunities for you to benefit from some savings, hopefully significant ones that I have obtained elsewhere.
